With Halloween just passed my house is filled up with candy. I cannot walk into a room without stepping on a candy or candy wraps. We have enough sugar to keep us going from now until May!
Candy is one of the items which account for most of the Halloween spending here in the US. People simply don’t hold their wallets back when it comes to buying candy.
The popular online retailer candystore.com published data around top candies sold by state. The site analysed bulk candy sales data from the last 15 years and produced an intersting interactive map on the most popular candy by state.
Using their data I created my own data story using my two favorite tools, Flourish, for data visualization and storytelling, and TwoTones, for data sonification.
